jobs.kn is operated by 869 DOT DESIGN, registered in the Federation of Saint Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis under License Number L202624217. In this Privacy Policy, "jobs.kn", "the Platform", "we", "our", and "us" refer to jobs.kn and its operator.

jobs.kn is a job-listing, application, communications, support, and employer visibility platform. Employers remain separate parties responsible for reviewing applications, communicating with applicants, making hiring decisions, and complying with laws that apply to their own hiring process.

jobs.kn is not an employer, recruitment agency, staffing firm, placement service, labour broker, or recruiter of record.

By using jobs.kn, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information created when you use the Platform, information generated by our systems, and information from public or third-party job sources.

1.1 Account Information

When you create or use an account, we may collect and store:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • password hash;
  • account role, such as candidate, employer, or admin;
  • phone number, where provided;
  • headline or short profile description;
  • company name, where applicable;
  • email verification status;
  • password reset tokens;
  • remember-me tokens;
  • account status;
  • suspension, restriction, or moderation records;
  • database session records;
  • IP address;
  • user agent;
  • login and session activity.

We do not store your password in plain text.

1.2 Candidate and Job Seeker Information

If you create a candidate account, profile, or application, we may collect and store:

  • profile details;
  • location;
  • work preferences;
  • availability;
  • skills;
  • work history;
  • education history;
  • certifications;
  • profile summaries;
  • application profile details;
  • generated search text used to help the Platform function;
  • saved jobs;
  • saved job notes;
  • applications;
  • application answers;
  • cover letters or application notes;
  • messages with employers;
  • application notifications;
  • external application handoff records;
  • support tickets;
  • report history connected with your account.

Your candidate profile may be shared with employers when you apply for a job or communicate with that employer through the Platform.

1.3 Application Information

When you apply for a job through jobs.kn, we may collect and process:

  • the job you applied for;
  • your candidate profile details;
  • application form answers;
  • cover letters or application notes;
  • attached or submitted documents, where available;
  • application status;
  • employer-facing application records;
  • application timestamps;
  • application transmission or handoff records;
  • notifications related to the application.

By submitting an application through jobs.kn, you authorize us to transmit the relevant application information to the named employer and its authorized hiring personnel.

1.4 Resume and Document Information

jobs.kn may store resume or document records where a candidate has uploaded or previously uploaded a file, or where legacy records exist.

This may include:

  • private resume or document files;
  • extracted resume text;
  • file names;
  • file type;
  • file size;
  • storage path;
  • checksums;
  • upload timestamps;
  • employer download or access records, where applicable.

If resume upload is not available as a current public feature, this section still applies to any legacy, retained, migrated, or administrative records that remain in the Platform.

We do not sell resume or document information.

1.5 Employer and Company Information

If you create or use an employer account, we may collect and store:

  • employer account details;
  • employer user names and email addresses;
  • employer roles and permissions;
  • company profile details;
  • company name;
  • company description;
  • company website;
  • careers page links;
  • company logo uploads;
  • verification contacts;
  • hiring contacts;
  • verification notes;
  • verification status;
  • jobs posted;
  • job edits and publication history;
  • application workflow changes;
  • messages with candidates;
  • application review records;
  • team membership records;
  • company membership records;
  • employer support tickets;
  • employer moderation records.

Company profiles and job listings may be visible to the public.

1.6 Job Listing Information

For employer-submitted jobs, we may collect and store:

  • job title;
  • company name;
  • job category;
  • location;
  • job type;
  • salary or compensation information, where provided;
  • job description;
  • application method;
  • external application URL, where provided;
  • job status;
  • approval status;
  • publication date;
  • expiry date;
  • edit history;
  • review notes;
  • moderation records.

1.7 Imported and External Job Listing Information

jobs.kn may import or process public job listing information from employer-linked or publicly available job sources.

This may include:

  • public job listing content;
  • public employer descriptions;
  • employer career page URLs;
  • employer application system links;
  • source URLs;
  • source names or source types;
  • raw import payloads;
  • timestamps;
  • sync records;
  • source-check or quality-review records;
  • import logs;
  • information used to categorize, summarize, reformat, or display the listing.

Imported listings may be abridged, reformatted, summarized, categorized, or linked for display on jobs.kn.

1.8 Support, Contact, and Report Information

If you contact us or submit a report, we may collect and store:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • subject;
  • message;
  • topic;
  • URLs or links involved;
  • IP address;
  • user agent;
  • referrer;
  • page URL;
  • account details, where signed in;
  • support ticket threads;
  • support replies;
  • support or review notes;
  • attachments or screenshots, where supported;
  • report status;
  • moderation outcome.

Public contact form messages may be emailed directly to the jobs.kn team, and related metadata may be logged for security, abuse prevention, and support purposes.

Signed-in support tickets may be stored in the Platform with threaded replies and support or review notes.

1.9 Job Reports

If you report a job listing, we may collect and store:

  • reporter details;
  • job listing snapshot;
  • employer details connected with the listing;
  • report reason;
  • report message;
  • page URL;
  • referrer;
  • IP address;
  • user agent;
  • timestamps;
  • platform review notes;
  • moderation outcome.

We use this information to investigate suspicious, inaccurate, expired, misleading, unlawful, or abusive listings.

1.10 Conversation Reports

If a candidate or employer reports a message thread, we may collect and store:

  • conversation context;
  • participant details;
  • message transcript;
  • report reason;
  • report message;
  • related job or application information;
  • timestamps;
  • platform review notes;
  • moderation outcome.

This information is used for moderation, trust and safety, dispute review, abuse prevention, and enforcement of our Terms.

1.11 Security and Abuse Logs

To protect users and the Platform, we may collect and store security and abuse-related information, including:

  • suspicious paths visited;
  • requests for sensitive files, such as .env files;
  • requests for database backups;
  • WordPress-related probes;
  • scanner-like traffic;
  • scraper-like traffic;
  • SQL injection patterns;
  • cross-site scripting patterns;
  • login failures;
  • beta gate attempts;
  • blocked IP addresses;
  • IP addresses;
  • real IP headers;
  • user agents;
  • route names;
  • URLs;
  • request metadata;
  • platform security actions;
  • account restriction records;
  • moderation events.

We use this information to detect abuse, investigate security issues, protect accounts, and maintain Platform integrity.

1.12 Email and Notification Information

We send transactional and service-related emails, including:

  • account verification emails;
  • password reset emails;
  • application notifications;
  • support replies;
  • company verification messages;
  • moderation notices;
  • report responses;
  • message notifications;
  • operational service messages.

Production email is currently sent through an SMTP email service provider. Email tracking is disabled where supported.

Email providers may process basic delivery information needed to send and deliver messages.

1.13 Cookies and Session Information

jobs.kn uses essential cookies and technical storage required to operate the Platform.

This may include:

  • jobskn-session;
  • XSRF-TOKEN;
  • optional remember-me cookies;
  • encrypted session data;
  • database-backed session records;
  • authentication state;
  • security tokens;
  • interface preferences.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, profiling, social-media, or tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to operate, protect, improve, and support the Platform.

This includes using information to:

  • create and manage accounts;
  • verify email addresses;
  • authenticate users;
  • maintain account security;
  • operate candidate profiles;
  • operate employer profiles;
  • publish job listings;
  • review submitted jobs;
  • display job listings;
  • process applications;
  • transmit applications to employers;
  • support external application handoffs;
  • send notifications;
  • support messaging between candidates and employers;
  • provide support;
  • respond to contact forms;
  • investigate reports;
  • moderate listings, messages, accounts, and profiles;
  • detect fraud, abuse, spam, scraping, and security threats;
  • enforce our Terms;
  • maintain audit records;
  • maintain business records;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • respond to lawful requests;
  • improve Platform reliability and usability.

We may also use public job listing information to import, summarize, categorize, reformat, source-check, display, and update job listings.

3. Platform Role and Employer Responsibility

jobs.kn provides technology tools for job listings, applications, communications, support, verification, and moderation.

Employers are separate parties. They are responsible for:

  • the jobs they post;
  • the accuracy of job information;
  • reviewing applications;
  • communicating with applicants;
  • making hiring decisions;
  • handling candidate information they receive;
  • complying with employment, privacy, immigration, anti-discrimination, tax, licensing, and workplace laws.

jobs.kn does not make hiring decisions and does not guarantee interviews, offers, employment, salaries, benefits, work permits, or application outcomes.

4. Quick Apply and Candidate-Initiated Applications

When you use Quick Apply or another jobs.kn application tool, you choose to submit your application.

By submitting, you authorize jobs.kn to transmit your application data, profile details, application answers, documents, and related information to the named employer and its authorized hiring personnel.

The employer may download, review, store, or otherwise process your application information for its hiring process.

Employers are responsible for their own handling of candidate information after they receive it.

5. External Applications

Some jobs do not use jobs.kn application tools. Instead, they direct you to an employer careers page, employer application system, or other external application destination.

If you apply through an external website or third-party system:

  • the information you enter there is handled by that employer or third party;
  • their privacy policy and terms may apply;
  • jobs.kn does not control that external website or system;
  • jobs.kn is not responsible for the external system's security, availability, privacy practices, decisions, or outcomes.

We may keep a record that you clicked or were directed to an external application page for support, security, operational recordkeeping, auditability, and abuse-prevention purposes. This may include the job, company, destination URL or host, signed-in account where applicable, session hash, IP address, user agent, referrer, route information, and timestamp.

6. Imported and External Listings

jobs.kn may display job listings from employers, public sources, employer career pages, employer-operated job portals, employer application systems, feeds, APIs, and other public job sources.

Imported or external listings may be copied, summarized, reformatted, categorized, linked, or updated for display.

These listings may become stale, incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, or different from the employer's current listing.

jobs.kn does not guarantee:

  • that an imported job remains available;
  • that the employer is still accepting applications;
  • that the information is complete or error-free;
  • that salary, location, or job details are current;
  • that an external application link will work;
  • that an employer will respond.

Where possible, we may display labels, source information, last-updated information, external-application labels, or listing-status information.

7. How We Share Information

We share information as described below to provide, secure, support, and operate the Platform.

7.1 With Employers

If you apply for a job through jobs.kn, we share relevant application information with the employer connected with that job.

This may include:

  • your name;
  • contact details;
  • profile information;
  • application answers;
  • cover letter or notes;
  • resume or documents, where provided;
  • messages;
  • application timestamps;
  • related application records.

Employers may view profile information that is connected to an application or conversation you initiate with that employer through the Platform.

7.2 With Candidates

If you are an employer, candidates may see information such as:

  • company name;
  • company profile;
  • company logo;
  • job listings;
  • job details;
  • employer messages;
  • application instructions;
  • external application links;
  • verification or profile indicators, where displayed.

7.3 With Service Providers

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Platform, including providers for:

  • hosting;
  • databases;
  • storage;
  • email delivery;
  • security;
  • backups;
  • support tools;
  • error monitoring;
  • job import processing;
  • public listing checks;
  • infrastructure;
  • development and maintenance.

Service providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security expectations.

We take reasonable steps to use service providers that can support appropriate technical and organisational safeguards for the information they process for us.

7.4 With Legal Authorities

We may preserve, disclose, or provide information where we reasonably believe it is necessary or appropriate to:

  • comply with applicable law;
  • respond to court orders, regulators, law enforcement, or competent authorities;
  • investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity;
  • protect users, the public, jobs.kn, or the Platform;
  • enforce our Terms;
  • defend legal claims.

7.5 During Business Changes

If jobs.kn or its operator is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, asset sale, financing, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections where applicable.

8. Employer Use of Candidate Information

Employers who receive candidate or applicant information through jobs.kn must use it only for genuine hiring consideration and job-related communications.

Employers must not:

  • sell candidate information;
  • rent or trade candidate information;
  • use candidate information for unrelated marketing;
  • create unrelated contact databases;
  • disclose candidate information without authorization;
  • use candidate information unlawfully or discriminatorily;
  • contact applicants for unrelated commercial purposes.

Employers are responsible for protecting candidate information after receiving it.

9. Public Information

Some information may be visible to the public, to other users, or to relevant employers, depending on the feature and your actions.

Public information may include:

  • job listings;
  • company profiles;
  • company logos;
  • employer website links;
  • employer careers links;
  • job categories;
  • job locations.

Information visible to a relevant employer may include candidate profile information connected with an application or message you submit through the Platform.

Do not include information in public fields, applications, messages, or profile fields that you do not want the relevant audience to see.

10. Sensitive Information

Applications, resumes, messages, or support requests may contain sensitive information if users choose to include it.

This may include information about health, religion, political opinions, criminal records, immigration status, identity documents, or other sensitive personal details.

Please avoid submitting sensitive information unless it is necessary for the relevant application, support request, or legal purpose.

Where sensitive information is submitted, we process it only where necessary to provide the Platform, transmit applications, support users, investigate reports, comply with law, protect users, enforce our Terms, or where you have clearly chosen to include that information in an application, message, document, profile field, or support request.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information.

These measures may include:

  • encrypted production sessions;
  • database-backed sessions;
  • password hashing;
  • CSRF protection;
  • access controls;
  • account verification;
  • employer verification;
  • security logging;
  • abuse detection;
  • IP blocking;
  • moderation tools;
  • backup controls;
  • platform audit logs.

No online service can guarantee complete security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

12. Cookies and Tracking

jobs.kn uses essential cookies only.

Essential cookies and technical storage are used for:

  • signing in;
  • keeping your session active;
  • protecting forms;
  • preventing cross-site request forgery;
  • remembering login preferences;
  • supporting Platform functionality;
  • maintaining security.

We do not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, profiling cookies, social-media tracking cookies, or third-party tracking cookies.

If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy or our Cookie Policy as appropriate.

13. Email Communications

We send service-related emails that are necessary for account and Platform use.

These may include:

  • verification emails;
  • password reset emails;
  • application notifications;
  • message notifications;
  • support replies;
  • employer verification updates;
  • moderation notices;
  • report responses;
  • security notices;
  • operational announcements.

These are not marketing emails.

We may use an email service provider to send these messages. Email delivery systems may process your email address, message content, delivery metadata, and related technical information to deliver the email.

Where supported, email tracking is disabled.

14. Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Because jobs.kn supports applications, employer records, safety reviews, fraud prevention, and business operations, different types of information may be kept for different periods.

14.1 Account Records

Active account information is kept while your account remains open.

If you delete your account, we will remove or deactivate the live account where supported, but some related records may remain as described below.

14.2 Candidate Profile and Application Records

Candidate profile information may be retained while your account is active.

Application records may be retained for support, employer access, audit, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.

Where deletion is requested, we may delete or detach candidate profile information from active account use, subject to records we need to retain.

14.3 Employer and Job Records

Employer account records, company records, job publication records, job edit records, application workflow records, verification records, and related operational records may be retained for business, audit, compliance, security, and dispute-resolution purposes.

Job listings may remain visible after expiry for informational, archival, transparency, or historical purposes.

14.4 Support, Reports, and Moderation Records

Support tickets, contact form records, job reports, conversation reports, support or review notes, moderation records, and enforcement records may be retained for up to six (6) years, or longer where needed for legal claims, safety, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, compliance, or dispute resolution.

14.5 Security Logs

Security and abuse logs may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to protect the Platform, investigate abuse, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and maintain security.

Routine security logs are generally retained for a limited period, while records connected with abuse, fraud, blocked users, suspicious activity, legal issues, or platform safety may be retained longer where reasonably necessary.

14.6 Platform Audit Logs

Platform audit logs may be retained in immutable or restricted form to protect Platform integrity, support investigations, and maintain accountability.

14.7 Import Records

Imported job records, source records, raw import payloads, sync logs, source-check records, and related processing records may be retained for operational, audit, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and listing-quality purposes.

14.8 Backups

Information may remain in encrypted or restricted backups for a limited backup cycle after deletion from active systems.

Backup data is not used for ordinary Platform activity and is retained for disaster recovery, security, and continuity purposes.

14.9 Email and Mailbox Records

Messages sent to or from jobs.kn email addresses may remain in mailbox records or email delivery systems for support, audit, legal, or operational purposes.

14.10 Business and Legal Records

Business, tax, accounting, legal, compliance, billing, invoice, and transaction records may be retained for the period required or permitted by applicable law.

15. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account by using available account tools or contacting us.

Account deletion may remove or deactivate many account-linked records from active use, but it may not remove every record immediately or completely.

We may retain:

  • support records;
  • report records;
  • moderation records;
  • security logs;
  • platform audit logs;
  • job publication records;
  • application transmission records;
  • employer verification records;
  • import records;
  • server logs;
  • backups;
  • mailbox records;
  • legal records;
  • business records;
  • fraud-prevention records;
  • dispute-related records.

Where appropriate, retained records may be anonymized, de-identified, aggregated, or detached from your active account.

16. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law and Platform functionality, you may be able to:

  • access your account information;
  • update your profile;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete certain saved jobs or profile details;
  • request account deletion;
  • request information about how your data is used;
  • contact us about privacy concerns.

Some requests may be limited where we need to retain information for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, disputes, recordkeeping, or Platform integrity.

16.1 Access and Correction Requests

Where applicable privacy law gives you the right to access or correct personal information, you may contact us at [email protected].

We may ask you to verify your identity and provide enough information to help us locate the relevant records.

We aim to respond to valid access or correction requests within any timeframe required by applicable law.

If we refuse or limit access or correction where permitted by law, we will explain the reason where required or appropriate.

Correction requests should identify the information you believe is incomplete, incorrect, misleading, excessive, or not up to date, and explain the correction requested.

16.2 Required and Optional Information

Some information is required to use core Platform features. For example, an email address is required to create an account, application information is required to submit an application, and employer details are required to create or verify an employer account.

Other information may be optional, such as profile summaries, additional skills, cover letters, saved-job notes, or optional employer profile details.

If required information is not provided, the relevant feature may not be available or may not work correctly.

17. Children

jobs.kn is not intended for children.

You may use the Platform only if you are at least eighteen (18) years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect information from children.

18. International Processing

jobs.kn serves St. Kitts and Nevis, but our service providers, hosting infrastructure, email systems, development tools, or other technical systems may process information in other countries.

By using the Platform, you understand that information may be processed or stored outside your country, subject to reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service.

19. Billing and Paid Services

Standard use of jobs.kn may be free unless otherwise stated.

If paid services, sponsorships, featured listings, invoices, billing, or payment features are introduced, we may collect and process billing-related information such as:

  • billing contact details;
  • company details;
  • invoice records;
  • payment status;
  • transaction references;
  • tax or compliance information;
  • paid feature records.

Payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers. If so, their privacy policies and terms may apply.

20. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may link to third-party websites, employer career pages, employer application systems, maps, email systems, or other external services.

We do not control third-party services.

Their privacy policies and terms apply to their collection and use of your information.

You should review their policies before submitting information to them.

21. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

The updated version will be posted on the Platform with a new "Last updated" date.

If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Platform, by email, or by other reasonable means.

Continued use of jobs.kn after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means your information will be handled under the updated policy.
