Job Description

Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Wildlife Health and Conservation in Basseterre, St. Kitts. The position focuses on wildlife health and conservation research involving sea turtles, shorebirds, and seabirds. Responsibilities include conducting research on endangered and threatened wildlife species, collecting population and health data, contributing to management and policy-related initiatives, leading and collaborating on intramural and extramural grant applications, publishing at least two manuscripts per year, presenting research at the WIDECAST AGM and ISTS annually, and supervising and training student volunteers, research elective students, graduate students, and veterinary students. Essential qualifications include a PhD in wildlife management, conservation medicine, or a related field; previous research experience with sea turtles and/or seabirds or shorebirds; a strong record of research productivity; the ability to work independently and lead projects; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
