Job Description

The Veterinary Anesthesiology Faculty role with Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine is a full-time faculty position in Veterinary Anesthesia and Pain Management within the Department of Clinical Sciences. The position may be appointed at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on qualifications and experience. The role focuses primarily on teaching veterinary medical students through didactic instruction, laboratories, case-based learning, and live-animal lab experiences. Faculty are expected to support student learning through assessments, course development, and curriculum improvement, while also communicating effectively with students, faculty, staff, and clinical teams. Responsibilities include participating in three semesters of teaching each year, supporting clinicians in the Ross University Veterinary Clinic, contributing to continuing education, serving on committees, and assisting with curriculum development. Required qualifications include a DVM or comparable degree and advanced residency training in Anesthesia and Pain Management. ACVAA or ECVAA board certification is preferred, though board-eligible candidates may be considered; a PhD is preferred but not required. Associate Professor candidates are expected to have research expertise shown through funded research and peer-reviewed publications.
