Job Description
This Executive Pastry Chef role with St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino in Frigate Bay, Saint Kitts is centered on leading the resort’s daily pastry operations. The position combines hands-on baking and decorating with team leadership, with responsibility for producing quality, consistent pastries across all pastry areas while helping improve guest and employee satisfaction and staying within the operating budget. The chef supervises pastry preparation shifts, guides and develops staff, sets performance expectations, and keeps communication open across the team. The role also includes creating new pastry items, assisting the Executive Chef with pastry menu development, maintaining food handling, storage, sanitation, and temperature standards, operating and maintaining equipment, and supporting special guest requests, functions, media events, and pastry classes for customers and the community. Applicants should have either a high school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or a related professional area, or a 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major with 2 years of experience.
