Job Description

The Full-Time Steward role at St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino in Frigate Bay involves maintaining kitchen and work areas, operating cleaning equipment, and washing, disinfecting, inspecting, and storing dishes, tools, silverware, and other kitchen items. Duties include using the dishwashing machine, hand-wash and pot-scrubbing stations, three-compartment sink, trash compactor, and related cleaning chemicals; re-scrubbing items when needed; and removing food residue with hot water. The role also includes emptying and maintaining trash cans and the dumpster area, cleaning and mopping assigned departments, disposing of glass correctly, and placing cardboard and other recyclables in designated bins. Employees are expected to follow company, safety, and security procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training and certifications; protect company assets; communicate professionally; support team goals; and meet quality standards. The position requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, as well as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and reaching overhead or below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
