Job Description

This Epidemiology and Veterinary Public Health Faculty role at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in Basseterre, St. Kitts focuses on teaching, research, and service in epidemiology, veterinary public health, veterinary preventive medicine, and One Health. Teaching responsibilities include veterinary public health and epidemiology instruction for veterinary and graduate students, covering topics such as quantitative epidemiology, disease surveillance and control, outbreak investigation, zoonotic diseases, and foodborne diseases. The role also includes participation in team-taught didactic courses as needed and graduate teaching in the online Master’s in One Health. Research responsibilities include leading an independent or collaborative research program resulting in peer-reviewed publications, pursuing extramural funding, supporting research-active faculty with study design and data analysis, helping expand the University’s research activity, and building collaborations with strategic partners. Service duties include faculty meetings, assigned committees, office hours, postgraduate committees for Master’s and PhD students, and other duties assigned by the Department or Division Head. Applicants should have a DVM or comparable degree. A PhD and graduate training in epidemiology or veterinary preventive medicine are highly desirable.
