Job Description

This full-time Accountant role with TDC in Saint George Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis supports the company’s accounting function and wider financial reporting. The position covers Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, month-end close, credit control, management accounts, investments, regulatory returns, budgets, reinsurance premium adjustment, actuarial review, and annual financial accounts. Key duties include supervising payment handling procedures, petty cash and adjustments; overseeing payments to external and internal customers and suppliers; supporting journal entries, receipts and claims recoveries; and managing bank reconciliations, trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, tax computations and sign-off. The role also reports to and supports the General Manager, deputises in the General Manager’s absence, and mentors junior accountants by providing guidance, training where possible, and identifying training and professional development needs. Applicants should have degree-level education, formal accounting qualifications or be undertaking them, and be undertaking or have completed the Insurance Diploma (CII).
