Job Description

This full-time Assistant Risk Officer role with TDC in Saint George Basseterre supports the company's enterprise risk work by helping communicate the value of risk management, implement the risk process, and monitor controls. The role may support TDC Financial Services Co. Ltd, TDC Insurance Co. Ltd, East Caribbean Reinsurance Company, TDC Airline Services Ltd, and other TDC business units. The work includes helping prepare risk reporting for senior leaders, committees, directors, the Board, and the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank; supporting Risk Committee administration; recording minutes for ERM meetings, assessments, workshops, and action plan monitoring; and keeping risk registers, action plans, and key risk indicator data current in Excel and ERM software. It also involves gathering updates from business units, mapping risks to controls, reviewing documentation and claim forms as part of control monitoring, communicating findings with the ERM Manager, protecting confidential information, meeting deadlines, and staying current with COSO, ISO 31000, Basel Capital Framework, and related standards. Applicants need at least six CSEC subjects including English and Math, CAPE-level education including Economics or Accounting, and at least one year in Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, or Accounting. Risk certification or ISO 31000 training is listed as a plus. The role calls for strong oral and written communication, independent judgment, advanced MS Office ability, attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, multitasking, organization, and the ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
