Job Description

This temporary Clerk/Cashier role with TDC in Saint George Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis focuses on handling customer receipts, managing cash controls, supporting account reconciliation, and assisting both the Accounts and Underwriting Departments. The position sits within The St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla Trading and Development Company Limited (TDC). Day-to-day work includes registering clients in the system, processing and reconciling receipts, printing and filing receipts, and keeping registry records current. The role also covers float management, including checking opening float, preparing change lists, and verifying float received from a sub-cashier. Cash in the till must match receipts by payment type, and management must be alerted when cash on hand exceeds XCD 20,000 and needs banking. The job also involves reviewing customer balances, identifying discrepancies, preparing follow-up notes and letters, adjusting interest where needed, setting and closing alerts, and supporting accounting work such as journal entries, schedules, daily bank deposits, income and receipts schedules, petty cash analysis, and charge updates.
