Senior Accountant

Job Description

The Senior Accountant manages the preparation of TDC Ltd’s monthly management accounts, reviews accounts for departments and subsidiaries, oversees local and overseas payables, and manages duty-free rebate submissions to the Government Customs Department and Ministry of Finance. Responsibilities include reviewing fixed asset schedules, reconciling accounts payable to the general ledger, preparing bank and tax reconciliations, reviewing departmental expenses and tenant billings, processing group health insurance payments, and posting journals. These duties must be completed within the specified daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines. The role also provides backup support for tax computations, pension plan accounts, subsidiary account reviews, intercompany reconciliations, and quarterly group consolidation and reporting. Staff-management duties include planning and supervising work, reviewing completed tasks, coaching employees, monitoring attendance and punctuality, conducting twice-yearly performance appraisals, and ensuring departmental queries are addressed promptly. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and have five to seven years of experience preparing accounts, along with previous experience using accounting software. Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, effective written and verbal communication, and teamwork skills are required. A master’s degree or professional qualification would be an asset, as would previous experience supervising accounting department activities.
