Job Description

This full-time Truck Driver role with TDC’s Home and Building Depot in Nevis is based at Pinneys. The driver is responsible for safely and efficiently loading, transporting, and delivering materials while following safety standards and traffic regulations. Duties include loading materials according to vehicle weight and tonnage, wearing and enforcing required safety gear, completing daily vehicle checklists, and ensuring the truck is clean and in good mechanical order before leaving the yard. The driver delivers goods promptly, obtains the required delivery signatures, maintains the necessary documentation, and reports accidents or road-related difficulties immediately. While on the road, the driver supervises the assigned porter and is responsible for ensuring that the porter works efficiently and professionally. Applicants must hold the license required to operate the assigned vehicle and have at least one year of experience driving that type of vehicle. The role also requires customer service skills, knowledge of the products, the ability to read and understand documents, and full knowledge of the vehicle’s operation, including basic mechanics.
