The Wheelchair Assistant - Part-time role with TDC in Basseterre, St. Kitts supports airline passengers who need wheelchair assistance, whether for necessity or comfort. The role focuses on safe passenger transport, positive passenger service, and coordination with airport and airline staff. Responsibilities include transporting passengers safely to and from required locations, staying alert to hazards, providing special assistance, general information, and directions, and maintaining a friendly and professional image when interacting with passengers, airline staff, and the public. The role also includes coordinating assignments with the dispatcher and gate agents, following SCASPA checkpoint screening requirements, completing incident reports when needed, and maintaining wheelchair logs. Applicants should be able to lift, squat, stoop, push, stand, bend, walk throughout a shift, and lift, carry, or hold up to 50 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent may be required in some locations. Candidates should have reliable transportation, be able to read, write, speak, and follow verbal and written instructions in English, and have excellent customer service skills.
